A chance to be part of the political process and show support in person is what inspired an Owasso resident to attend the rally for President Donald Trump in Tulsa Saturday.
Lorrie Wright was one of thousands to attend the event at the BOK Center, and she said she did so because of history.
"It's a historical moment, so I think it'll be fun to see what he has to say and see what kind of people come out and support him and just see what it's all about," she told News On 6.
She said the crowds outside the arena were quite friendly throughout the afternoon.
"I haven't seen anything of violence. It's been really good," Wright said.
And attending the rally was an opportunity to get off social media and participate in real life.
"I don't know. You see people post things on Facebook, and they have their opinions -- but I think coming out and being involved and being a supporter says a lot. That's why we're here," Wright said.
