Tulsa Public Schools will hold a special meeting to discuss the upcoming school year on Monday.

The main objective of the meeting is to talk about the effect COVID-19 will have on the 2020-2021 school year, and how it will impact students, staff, and the greater Tulsa community.

According to the meeting's agenda, the board will discuss the school calendar, contingency plans, general health, and instructional programming.

Monday's meeting is open to the public but since it is a special board meeting, public comment is not allowed.

It starts at 5 p.m. and you can access the meeting at here.

The board will hold a similar meeting next Monday, June 29th at 5 p.m.

As of right now, students in the Tulsa Public School District are set to return to class on Wednesday, August 19th.

But the district said there is a possibility that could change.

The district has not said whether distance learning will continue or if they'll go back to full-time in-classroom learning.
