The city announced on Tuesday that they would be canceling the event due to COVID-19 concerns. The City is now asking local businesses, families, previous float registrants, and others to submit fun pictures or videos of up to 30 seconds to be used during the presentation.

The photos should feature "Overall Patriotism! Honoring the U.S.A. and the freedoms we enjoy!"

The event will also honor the Class of 2020 as well as first responders and healthcare workers. Those who want to submit photos or videos are asked to send them to scampbell@cityofcollinsville no later than July 2, 2020. The Virtual 4th of July Parade will be posted online on Saturday, July 4th, 2020.
