The family of 34-year-old Robert Harris wants answers and said other than the death notification, and word from the medical examiner that he was shot, they know little else about their son's final moments.
Harris lived in Tulsa, but last week was on his way to Missouri with his girlfriend, when they were stopped on the turnpike near Vinita. Harris was a passenger, not the driver, and for reasons that aren't yet public, the trooper shot Harris. The trooper's name has not been released. Neither the trooper nor the woman Harris was with were hurt.
His family is gathering in Tulsa at their home, and said they haven't yet been able to claim his body and see for themselves what happened.
