The Tulsa community is showing its support for two officers and their families.

Chief Wendell Franklin asked the the community to pray and to come together during this time of need and that is exactly what has happened.

A patrol car is covered with balloons, flowers, hand written notes and thank you cards.

There are handwritten cards and notes from Missouri, Baton Rouge Louisiana and as far away as Italy.

Officers and deputies from Tulsa and across northeastern Oklahoma have come to show their respect and support.

Chief Daniel Wind of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Police Department said "it doesn't matter where you are from; it could be a small town USA, Oklahoma City, New York City, wherever it's at. We all have the understanding that when those officers put on their vest, their badge, and their gun we don't know if [they're] going to come home that evening."

Both David Ware and Matt Hall are in jail and being held without bond.
