Rep. Markwayne Mullin won his 2nd District Republican primary convincingly Tuesday night, besting two challengers.
Mullin was leading with 80 percent of the vote and 99 percent of precincts reporting. Challenger Joseph Silk picked up 12.7 percent of the vote, and Rhonda Hopkins got 7.4 percent.
Mullin will face Hugo native and Navy veteran Danyell Lanier Nov. 3 in the general election.
Newcomer Kojo Asamoa-Caesar won his 1st District Democrat primary by more than 25 percentage points over Mark Keeter for the right to face incumbent Rep. Kevin Hern this November. Hern, a Republican, is joined by Independent Evelyn Rogers on the ballot.
