Owasso Police Pursuit Ends With Injury Crash

A man is in the hospital after Owasso police say he fled the scene of a domestic assault, led officers on a chase, and eventually crashed his truck.

Officers say they were responding to a domestic assault call when they saw the 39-year-old David Bender jump into a truck and drive away.

Officers were able to deflate one of Bender's tires, but he was still able to lead them on a highway chase into Tulsa. Police say when the Bender exited onto Pine Street, he jumped the curb and his flat tire caused the truck to roll.

Bender is being treated at a hospital and will be arrested once he is released. He is facing charges of domestic assault and battery by strangulation and felony eluding.
