The Kansas City Chiefs and quarterback Patrick Mahomes have reached agreement on a 10-year contract extension, ESPN reported.
The contract will tie Mahomes to Kansas City through the 2031 season and comes after the Chiefs won the Super Bowl in February 2020.
ESPN Senior NFL Insider Adam Schefter also tweeted that this contract will be the "richest contract in NFL history," stating sources mention it is worth $400 million at the minimum.
Mahomes had two years remaining on his current contract and will add this new 10-year agreement to those existing 2 years, making it a 12-year contract in total.
