A Broken Arrow park turned into a vigil Wednesday night to show support for Tulsa police officers.

Broken Arrow’s Central Park featured a stage with many speakers who talked about dangers police face every day. Religious and community leaders also talked about BA’s commitment to public safety and law enforcement.

In addition to those speeches, people sang songs and prayed.

One police officer said the support at the vigil meant the world to him.

"It makes you feel better about yourself and your calling in your life. To a police officer, doing this job is a calling in their life,” Broken Arrow Police Officer Chris Walker said.

The group also took several opportunities to pray for Officer Zarkeshan, his family, friends, and Sgt. Johnson's loved ones.

Johnson died after being shot during a traffic stop last week and Zarkeshan remains in a hospital.
