Update: The Pac-12 announced they will play conference-only games in all fall sports, reported the Associated Press.
The Big Ten Conference will play only conference games in football, reported the Associated Press. If fall seasons proceed, several other sports in the conference may follow suit.
ESPN reported on Thursday that “the Big Ten decided on Thursday that a conference-only season for all fall sports, including football, is the most likely outcome.”
Brett McMurphy reported that the ACC is expected to play conference only games as well. The Big 12 commissioner said it was still too early to make that decision.
The Big Ten was the first major conference to announce this plan.
