A Collinsville family is struggling to find a place to stay after a house fire Monday.
"It's devastating, we basically watched our whole lives go up in flames,” Amanda Barnett said.
Barnett and her partner, Carrie Baker, said the fire has left them and their four kids without a home.
“Our kids are asking if they can come home and they can't,” Barnett said.
The couple was driving back from Arkansas Monday night after picking up a service dog for their special needs son when they got a call about their home on fire.
Baker said her ex-husband and three kids were inside when the fire started. They were able to get out, however their 4 cats and 1 dog didn't make it. The fire also destroyed their kids' clothes and toys.
"They don't understand that they don't have anything, they don't understand that they can't come back home,” Baker said.
Baker said the fire department is still investigating the incident. The couple doesn’t have insurance but have gotten a lot of help from the community.
"They have raised enough to get us two rooms at the hotel here in Owasso, so we have been really blessed,” Baker said.
