The Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter filed charges in a 35-year-old cold case.

In 1985, Paul Aikman was stabbed to death at a rest stop along the Turner Turnpike. At the time, OSBI collected DNA and fingerprints from the scene, but were unable to make a match.

Last year, agents ran the DNA through a national database again and got a hit. They were able to connect it to Earl Wilson, who is in an Oklahoma prison on an unrelated case.

Hunter charged Wilson with murder for Aikman’s death.
