Tulsa police arrested a man accused of kidnapping a woman and holding her hostage.
Police said a woman called 911 because her friend was being held hostage by Steven Peters.
Police said Peters and the victim knew each other. The arrest report said an officer called the victim and could hear a struggle over the phone with the woman yelling.
Officers surrounded the home and got the victim to safety while soon taking Peters into custody.
Police said they later asked the victim what happened inside, and she said Peters blocked the door when she tried to leave, pulled a gun on her, and tried to use a lanyard to choke her. She ran to a closet and grabbed an old phone to call for help.
Peters is facing several felony complaints, including kidnapping as well as assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
