INOLA, Oklahoma -

The Rogers County Sheriff's Office says a woman and an 8-month-old baby were injured after an explosion at a home in Inola on Saturday.

The woman and the child were transported to hospitals in the Tulsa area by separate helicopters with life-threatening injuries. Rogers County deputies say the explosion came from a structure behind the main building. Major. Coy Jenkins says surrounding homeowners smelled gas leaking since last night.

The exact cause of the explosion is under investigation but deputies say a propane leak may have caught a stoke on fire and resulted in an explosion.

This is a developing story.
