The Tulsa Classroom Teachers Association continues the annual Give and Grab.
The event is taking place here at the TCTA headquarters near 31st and Harvard.
It’s usually only one day, but it’s spaced out across three days this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The event is open to all teachers new to their career in the Tulsa school district to grab any items they want to add to their classroom--free of charge.
Most of the items are donated by other teachers who retired or left the district.
Organizers say they usually see a couple hundred teachers each year.
They already have nearly 50 signed up for the event this week.
This is a resource for teachers who usually have to pay for most classroom items out of their own pockets.
The event continues Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
There’s also a food pantry teachers have access to.
