Tulsa Police Lieutenant Arrested On Suspicion Of DUI

A Lieutenant with the Tulsa Police Department is out on bond after being arrested on suspicion off DUI.

Officers say Clay Ballenger was arrested near 101st and Mingo around 11 p.m. Thursday.

According to the arrest report, two people called police after they saw Ballenger swerving, crossing into other lanes, and nearly hitting a tree.

When officers arrived on the scene, Ballenger was asleep behind the wheel with the driver door open.

Tulsa Police Department says Ballenger is on restricted duty.
