The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating what caused a deadly collision late Sunday morning in southwest Oklahoma City.

Authorities said 24-year-old Billy Vanderwater of Norman was riding his motorcycle northbound on the Kilpatrick Turnpike when his vehicle began to fishtail and went over the Southwest 15th Street bridge.

Due to his injuries, Vanderwater was pronounced dead at the scene by Oklahoma City Fire Department officials.

Vanderwater's condition appeared to be normal, according to officials.
