Okmulgee High School Shifts To Distance Learning After Multiple COVID-19 Cases

Okmulgee Public Schools announced on August 31 that they have multiple confirmed cases of COVID-19 at Okmulgee High School.

Okmulgee Public Schools announced on August 31 that they have multiple confirmed cases of COVID-19 at Okmulgee High School.

The superintendent Renee Dove said that beginning Tuesday, September 1 all students at the high school will shift to distance learning through September 14, with classes resuming on September 15.

Okmulgee Schools said all extra-curricular and athletic activities will also be canceled during this time.

The district said they have notified all students and staff if they have had direct contact with the positive cases.
