Beggs Elementary and Middle school students returned to in-person learning on Wednesday after a week of virtual learning.
On August 31st, Beggs Public Schools announced they would be moving to distanced learning due to several students and staff members testing positive for COVID-19. They chose to move all grades to distanced learning through September 8.
While younger grades returned to campuses on Wednesday, high school students go back on Thursday since Wednesdays have been deemed virtual learning days. BPS says face coverings are strongly recommended at school but not mandatory.
BPS officials say they will continue to monitor the staff and students and will re-evaluate their learning plans if and as needed.
