Charge Dismissed Against Man Accused Of Killing Woman In 2011

The Tulsa County District Attorney's Office dropped the murder charge against a man accused of killing a woman during a robbery.

Peggy Gaytan was working at a Shell gas station in 2011 when she was shot and killed.

Peggy was a beloved part of that neighborhood and each year neighbors held a vigil for her, since the case went unsolved until a few months ago.

Police arrested Patrick Hamstard and he was charged in the case. However, the DA's office said their one and only witness was hostile and refused to cooperate, and they could not go forward with the case without that witness. So ,the charge against Hamstard was dismissed on Wednesday.
