Veteran Salute: John Barry

News On 6 is recognizing veterans across northeastern Oklahoma who are making a difference in their communities like John Barry.

Barry joined the Marine Corps in 1968. He served in Vietnam from 1968-1970 until he was injured, but then reenlisted in 1972 and served until 1975.

He was commander for Mayes County Disabled American Veterans and was a service officer.
