Thursday evening, students, parents and teachers gathered to see the official dedication of a new multi-purpose stadium at Will Rogers High School.
It will be used as a football stadium or soccer field and also has a new track. The project is paid for by part of a $415 million bond Tulsa voters approved in 2015.
“This is a home field,” Executive Director of Athletics Gil Cloud said. “In the past, they’ve been at Webster and they’ve been at SE Williams for their home field, so they had to bus to home games. Now they won’t.”
After the dedication, they broke in the new stadium with a football game against East Central.
