Tulsa police officers have left the scene of what they say was a collision with an electricity pole Monday morning just after 2:30 a.m.

Crews were working to fix a electricity an pole near Pine and Urbana after Tulsa police said a man crashed into it before driving into a nearby fence.

The driver was checked out by EMSA and according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the man was taken to jail on suspicion of drunken driving.

The lower half of the power pole was hit and was dangling, suspended only by the wires, before crews were able to fix the pole.

Pine was closed between Vandalia and Urbana, but has since been reopened and power has been restored to affected homes in the area.
