Over 500 Tulsa Public Schools Families have joined a group advocating for an in-school learning choice.
The group calls themselves "TPS Parents for Choice" and a spokesperson said that it started out on Facebook and saw a rush of people wanting to join.
The group has called for students to return to class and have created a petition it said has over 1500 signatures.
According to spokespeople, the group said it is planning to have a large rally outside of the school board building on October 5 when the superintendent will make a recommendation to the board. The board will vote at a later date.
