Republican Congressman Frank Lucas, representative for Oklahoma's third congressional district, has won his race for re-election.

Lucas defeated Democratic candidate Zoe Midyett by a wide margin, taking 78.5% of the total vote.

Frank Lucas is an Oklahoma native, born in Cheyenne, he attended Oklahoma State University before he began his political career in the Oklahoma House of Representative in 1988.

Lucas has represented Oklahoma's third congressional district since 2003.
