As COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations continue to increase in Oklahoma, medical officials and city leaders urge Tulsans to continue to be cautious.

The Tulsa Health Department said they’re concerned about another spike in cases after the Thanksgiving holiday.

“I’m not asking you to fear this virus. I’m asking for the help and respect of the danger that could be lurking in plain sight,” Dr. Dart said.

Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum also encourages people to “take it easy” over the next 10 days to slow the spread.

“The ordinances we put in place; those are a minimum. This isn’t a game,” Bynum said. “I hope that all of us can think about, not what the minimum standard is, but what each of us can do to protect the people around us.”
