Tulsa Woman Hospitalized After Police Say Ambush Attack Led To Shooting

Tulsa Police officers are searching for a person who they say shot a woman in what they are calling an ambush attack.

According to officers, someone shot the woman as she was walking with her friends back to her apartment complex near East 51st Street and South Yale Avenue.

Officers said that the person ambushed her and her friends before shooting the woman in the arm. According to police, one of the woman's friends may have shot back at the attacker.

The victim is currently in the hospital and police said that she is expected to recover from her injuries.

Officers do not have a suspect description.
