The latest report from the White House Coronavirus Task Force shows Oklahoma is still in the red zone.

The report said Oklahoma has the 19th highest rate of new COVID-19 cases in the country, with 1010 or more new cases per 100,000 people.

It also said Oklahoma has a positivity rate at or above 10.1% which is the 4th highest in the country.

U.S. Representative Frank Lucas said that he would support Governor Kevin Stitt if he decided to issue a statewide mask mandate.

"I know this is unpleasant, it's inconvenient, but if my mayor or my county commissioners, or if my governor says we have to wear a mask, then I'm going to support them, because they wouldn't do that unless they thought it was the only way to protect our fellow citizens," Lucas said.

The White House report once again recommended that masks should be required in Oklahoma.
