Man Charged With Murder In Federal Court For Killing Woman In DUI Crash In 2019

A Tulsa man has been charged with second degree murder in federal court for a DUI wreck in November of 2019 that killed a woman in Broken Arrow. According to prosecutor, Hector Hernandez was drunk when he crashed his car, Hernandez then fled from the scene leading to a second crash where he struck an SUV head on killing Jenifer Holt.

A Tulsa man has been charged with second-degree murder in federal court for a DUI wreck in November of 2019 that killed a woman in Broken Arrow.

According to prosecutors, Hector Hernandez was intoxicated when he crashed his car and fled from the scene, leading to a second crash where he struck an SUV head-on leading to the death of Jenifer Holt.

Based on the recent Supreme Court decision regarding tribal jurisdiction, the state's charges against Hernandez were dismissed and the case was picked up by federal prosecutors due to Hernandez's tribal citizenship.
