Rogers County Election Board Staff Working From Home Following Positive COVID-19 Tests

The Rogers County Election Board office in Claremore will be closed until after Christmas due to some staff members testing positive for COVID-19. The staff is now working from home and is still able to answer questions. “I have forwarded the phones to my cell phone so anybody that calls the office goes straight to my phone,” said Julie Dermody, Rogers County Election Board Secretary. “Two of us have our computers at home so we can take care of essential things that need to be taken care of.”

Although an inconvenience, Dermody said the timing is convenient because there is no election until February. The staff was able to pull off many elections during the pandemic without any major setback.

Barring any setbacks, the office is expected to re-open on December 28.
