Here are six things to know before you set your alarm for Saturday.

1.HONORING LIVES LOST: There will be more than 2,000 crosses displayed as a memorial for Oklahomans who have died because of COVID-19 complications. That’s at Forest Park Christian Church at 91st and Mingo.

2.CHRISTMAS MEALS: It’s a big day for Christmas meal distribution. Catholic Charities of Eastern Oklahoma is handing out 1,000 baskets in a drive-thru at Resource One, starting at 9 a.m. until they’re gone. Meals on Wheels will be at St. Francis, St. More and Piedra Angular giving away thousands of holiday meals as well.

3.REMEMBERING OUR VETERANS: Saturday is Wreaths Across America day. The mission is to remember, honor and teach by placing veterans’ wreaths at Arlington Cemetery and across the country.

4.MAN IN RED FLYING IN: Santa is flying into the Tulsa Air & Space Museum. You can take socially distanced pictures with the man in red. Tickets are first come, first serve. They include museum admission and a stomp rocket activity.

5.REIGN CANE:  Golden Hurricane is in Cincinnati taking on Cincy for the American Athletic Conference championship. It’s Tulsa’s first shot at the #9 Bears after the regular season game was canceled due to COVID-19 concerns at Cincy.

6.BOOMER SOONER: At 11 a.m. Saturday, it’s the Big 12 Championship. The Oklahoma Sooners take on Iowa State for a rematch in Texas.
