Driver Sentenced For Lengthy Chase In Stolen Landscaping Truck

A woman has been sentenced to ten years in prison for leading several agencies on a nearly hour-long chase in a stolen landscaping truck.

Troopers said Carrie Ortberg drove about 50 miles through three different counties last month, blew through stop signs and sometimes drove on the wrong side of the road. They said she kept going, even after stop sticks blew out all but one of the tires.

Records show Ortberg also got a suspended sentence five years ago in Ottawa County for having a stolen vehicle.
