Woman Hospitalized With Gunshot Wound, Husband In Custody Following Domestic Dispute

A Tulsa woman is in the hospital on Wednesday morning after police said she was shot by her husband overnight.

According to the Tulsa Police Department, the shooting happened outside of a home near East Admiral Place and North Garnett Road.

Police said they first arrived on the scene around 12:30 a.m. and found the woman who had been shot however, officers said that the victim was alert and speaking when she was taken to the hospital.

According to officers, the man they identified as the victim's husband was taken into custody and brought to the detective division for questioning.

Officers said that they found a handgun and a knife at the scene and learned that the couple had been arguing inside the house earlier on in the evening before eventually continuing the argument outside.

Police are expected to release more details later on Wednesday morning.
