Tulsa Transit Offering Free Fares On New Routes In January

On some of its newly launched routes, Tulsa Transit will offer free fares for all of January 2021.

The new routes, Route 969 and connector routes 601 and 602 were started in October and were developed to help employees working along the 169 Corridor.

Route 969, or the Workforce Express Network (WEN), has been free to Tulsa-area employees and starting in February, the normal fare of $1.75 will apply.

“By providing this service and additional WEN services in the future, we are fulfilling Tulsa Transit’s mission of connecting people to progress and prosperity,” said Ted Rieck, Tulsa Transit General Manager. ‘We want to continue to encourage residents and employees to ride the WEN and will offer service to all those in the area.”
