Tulsa Police Arrest Suspect Accused Of Attacking Man With Hammer

Tulsa police arrested a man they say hit another man with a hammer and then robbed him.

Officers say the victim told them that he got in a car with Nicholas Duke on Saturday near the Creek Turnpike and Memorial. The victim reported that he and Duke started arguing about rent money and then Duke hit him several times with a hammer. The victim says Duke kicked him out of the car and took with his wallet, bank card, and bag.

Police say they searched Duke's apartment and found those items. Officers say the suspect told them he was trying to keep the victim's belongings safe. Duke is in the Tulsa County Jail on a complaint of robbery with a deadly weapon.
