According to the district, it is working with the Tulsa Health Department to start vaccinating staff members who are 65 and older. The district will also get the vaccine to its nurses and health care assistants.

Staff members will go through a drive-thru station to get their shot, then they will have a designated area to park and wait for required 15 minutes of observation, so the health department staff can make sure they are alright.

The announcement comes as TPS officials said COVID-19 case counts increased following winter break.

More details are expected to come out on Tuesday, according to district leaders.
