Nationwide Pet Food Recall

A pet food company with a plant in Oklahoma is expanding a nationwide recall.

The FDA said at least 70 pets have died and another 80 or more are sick because of mold in popular dog and cat food manufacturer "Midwestern Pet Foods."

The recall affects Sportmix, Pro Pac Originals, Splash, Sportstrail, and Nunn Better dry dog and cat foods

It includes those containing corn manufactured in the company's Oklahoma plant with an expiration date on-or-before July 9, 2022.

Oklahoma Attorney General Asks For Update On Fight Against Opioid Abuse

Oklahoma's Attorney General Mike Hunter is one of 48 Attorneys General who sent a letter asking the FDA for an update on the fight against opioid abuse.

The letter asks the Food and Drug Administration to provide a report on what actions it has taken to fight the opioid epidemic by next month.

AARP Oklahoma Hosts COVID-19 Telephone Town Hall

AARP Oklahoma will host an informational meeting about COVID-19 on Wednesday.

They will answer questions about the latest developments with the pandemic as well as the vaccine roll out.
