14-Year-Old In Custody After Leading OHP On Overnight Chase

A 14-year-old is in custody on Tuesday morning after he led Oklahoma Highway Patrol officers on an overnight chase with another teenager in the vehicle. According to the OHP, officers tried to pull over a Nissan Sentra near East 11th Street and South Memorial Drive. Officers said that the car took off through a neighborhood, down 73rd East Avenue, ran a red light at 15th St, and then hit a curb.

A 14-year-old is in custody on Tuesday morning after he led Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troopers on an overnight chase with another teenager in the vehicle.

According to the OHP, troopers tried to pull over a Nissan Sentra near East 11th Street and South Memorial Drive.

Troopers said that the car took off through a neighborhood, down 73rd East Avenue, ran a red light at 15th St, and then hit a curb.

OHP told News On 6 that the 14-year-old driver and 15-year-old passenger jumped out and took off running, but were both caught by OHP shortly after.

Troopers found out that the car was stolen and a stolen gun was also found inside the car.
