Oklahoma Leaders Respond To Inauguration Of President Biden

As the 46th President of the United States was sworn in Wednesday, leaders across Oklahoma issued their congratulations to Joe Biden.

As the 46th President of the United States was sworn in Wednesday, leaders across Oklahoma issued their congratulations to Joe Biden.

Governor Kevin Stitt tweeted that he is praying for the country’s success under Biden and Harris, and he’s looking forward to working with the new administration for the betterment of Oklahoma.

Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum posted on Facebook, asking Tulsans to hope for Biden’s success in uniting the country.

Cherokee Nation Principal Chief Chuck Hoskin Jr. congratulated the new president and vice president, saying, “all of Indian Country looks to the President of the United States, irrespective of party, to keep America’s sacred promises to tribes. The Cherokee Nation expects the new president, and all presidents, to keep the country’s promises.” 

Hoskin said he looks forward to working with the new administration.
