The Super Bowl is one of the busiest takeout order days of the year for restaurants.

"Whenever it's time to start producing, we just start producing and we don't stop until it's done," Mazzio's Pizza area director of operations Anthony Clay said.

Clay said the Super Bowl is typically busier than an average busy day. After all, in terms of staffing, Super Sunday is an all hands-on deck day.

"Company projections are about 10,000 pounds of flour, 10,000 pounds of cheese, 3,000 pounds of wings," Clay said.

Due to the pandemic, and more people expected to watch the game from home, they could see even more sales.

"There's that little bit of uncertainty, compared to what we would normally know." Clay said.

While it is the busiest day for the staff, they make sure they are prepared for anything.

"It's a crazy amount of volume, within a really short window,” Clay said. “We come in, we rock it out and then we wrap up, clean up and call it a day.”

According to Clay, the only other business day that rivals the Super Bowl is Halloween.
