Derailed Train Causes Road Closure Near Pine, Lansing

The Eastbound lanes of East Pine Street between Lansing and Hartford are closed early on Tuesday morning after a train derailed blocking a portion of the road.

According to officials, crews have been called to the scene to begin the process of removing the train from the road and both lanes of Pine Street are expected to close for the removal.

It is not currently clear what led the train to slide off of the tracks and it is unknown if any injuries were sustained in the accident.
