Snow is piled up several feet high on the side of the road throughout the Rose District in Broken Arrow after snowplows made their way through.

City offices were closed until noon, and postal workers made their way through the snow to deliver mail. Neighborhood streets are packed with snow, with many vehicles covered in fresh snow, a sign some people are staying in.

Despite the roads, several people made it out to get their COVID-19 vaccines at the Public Safety Complex. Officials said about 150 people were scheduled to get the Moderna vaccine Wednesday through Passport Health.

Broken Arrow resident Sharon Pearson received her shot Wednesday, after a cancelation last week.

"I'm glad to finally get it over with," Pearson said.

Because of the weather Broken Arrow Public Schools will continue distance learning through Friday.

The district said the Education Service Center will be open for a few hours on Friday for employees who are 65 and older, to receive their COVID vaccines. The district said those employees will be contacted directly by Human Resources for instructions.
