A Tulsa Good Samaritan has been passing out food and hot coffee to city crews working around the clock to repair water lines all over the city.

Local businesses also got involved to help. The woman who organized this wants to remain anonymous but let us share this act of kindness because she’s hoping other people follow suit.

Jim Glover in Tulsa stepped in to donate a four-wheel-drive vehicle so she could make the special deliveries to the crews. She said without that help this really would’ve been a struggle. Reasor’s stepped up as well, donating instant coffee and granola bars. McDonald’s also made donations. A group started handing out the snacks and drinks last night to city crews working at more than 150 water line breaks across the city, then showed up the next morning to cook a homemade breakfast for more of the crew- egg and cheese burritos.

“I appreciate you guys coming out and thinking of us. It actually really makes a difference. It really, truly does,” said Casey with the City of Tulsa.

This all started in such a simple way- the person who started all of this telling me, she was tired of reading people’s posts on FB complaining, when city crews were out working in freezing temperatures and she wanted to help.
