State House Insurance Committee Passes Legislation Capping Insulin Costs For Many Oklahomans

The State House Insurance Committee passed legislation on Wednesday capping the cost of insulin for many Oklahomans.

HB1019, will cap copayments according to the bill's author Representative Rande Worthen of Lawton

Currently, the amount a person pays for insulin is based on their insurance plan.

This bill will also require the State Insurance Commissioner to enforce the price cap.

The bill passed the committee unanimously and will now be heard on the house floor.
