Voters in Sapulpa will decide on a bond proposal for the school district totaling around $1.6 million Tuesday.
The bond is broken into two different propositions.
Most of the money is proposed in the first proposition. It would allocate nearly $1.2 million towards new technology and textbooks.
About $500,000 would go to upgrades around the district, including HVAC units and security.
The second proposition calls for $450,000 to purchase new school vehicles. This includes a vehicle for the Ag department and a new student activity bus.
“The money that is generated here locally goes straight here to our schools and we want to be able to continue to provide a wonderful instructional experience with the necessary resources to do that,” said Superintendent Rob Armstrong.
This is the district’s first bond proposal since 2014. The district said there would be no projected tax increase should the bond pass.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Results will be posted on NewsOn6.com.
