Here are six things to know before you set your alarm for Friday.
.GATHERING AGAIN: Governor Kevin Stitt will issue an executive order Friday allowing events and gatherings again. It comes as cases and hospitalizations continue to drop across the state.
.GETTING THE SHOT: Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum will get his COVID-19 vaccine Friday. He’ll be at the Tulsa County fairgrounds.
.DONATE BEFORE THE BREAK: Give blood before spring break. The Oklahoma Blood Institute is offering donors a special gift Friday – a redbud seedling and a Rise Up and Give t-shirt. The OBI maintains the blood supply for more than 160 hospitals and facilities statewide and has had a challenging time getting donations through the pandemic.
.HIGH SCHOOL HOOPS: The state high school hoops tournaments continue Friday for boys and girls, 5A and 6A.
.BIG 12 HOOPS: OSU is back in action Friday coming off Friday’s close win in the Big 12 tournament. The Pokes tip off against top-seeded Baylor at 5:30 p.m.
.COOKIE FIX: Get your Thin Mints, Peanut Butter Patties or whatever your flavor. Friday is Girl Scouts Day, so give the troops some love and grab some boxes of cookies.
