The man accused of beating his stepfather to death near 21st and Sheridan on Monday morning is scheduled to make his first appearance in court.
On Tuesday, the stepson of the man who was killed is set to appear in court on charges of first-degree murder, only 24 hours after police first arrived on the scene.
According to police, officers were called to a home because the body of 71-year-old Edward Johnson was found lying in the front yard.
