Sapulpa Man Pleads Guilty After Trying To Meet Underage Boy For Sex

A man from Sapulpa pleaded guilty in federal court to trying to meet an underage boy for sex.

Prosecutors said Nicholas Hale admitted to using social media to talk to who he thought was a 14-year-old boy and convinced him to meet in person for sex. He was actually talking to an undercover deputy.

When Hale arrived in Verdigris to meet, deputies said he had meth and a loaded gun in the front seat, as well as an AR-15 in the trunk.

Hale will be sentenced in July.
