Claremore Man Dies In Motorcycle Accident

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a Claremore man died Sunday after he lost control of his motorcycle.

The accident happened around 3:30 p.m. two miles north of Claremore on State Highway 66.

Authorities said David Horton, 53, was traveling southbound on State Highway 66 when his motorcycle departed the roadway to his left into the center median before losing control.

EMS personnel declared Horton dead at the scene with a massive head injury.

OHP said Horton's condition was "apparently normal" at the time of incident.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
