An Israeli aerospace company is expanding in Tulsa, bringing hundreds of jobs. TAT Technologies is making a big investment by moving an entire manufacturing line from Israel to Tulsa.

Geoff Camp, the Oklahoma State Director of Aerospace and Defense, said TAT Technologies is the parent company of Limco in Tulsa.

Camp said the decision to move manufacturing to the Tulsa facility is a huge win for the state and could signal even more growth.

"Oklahoma is attractive to the aerospace and defense businesses across the country and the world for that matter," Camp said. "The whole gamut of this advanced technology, we're getting noticed as the place to go."

TAT Technologies does business with major players like Lockheed Martin, Boeing, and the Department of Defense.

The expanded plant will build specialized aircraft engine parts and land more than 300 new skilled manufacturing jobs in Green Country.

Camp said the state's low cost of business, cheap energy, and strong workforce is starting to draw the attention of tech manufacturers. He said recent state bills like HB 3967 - which boosts trade with Israel - serve as a beacon for other businesses across the globe.

"We're signifying that the state of Oklahoma is ready to do more international trade and we should expect to see more international companies relocate here," he said.

There's no timeline yet on when the manufacturing will be fully up and running, but Camp said the company has already begun shipping in equipment and the first few workers have already started work on the plant.
